Friendly people. Great church for the entire family!

My family and I came to Iowa in 2007. With no family within a thousand miles, We worried about how our son would react moving in high school and how the little ones would adjust to their first new school since beginning school. The branch here took us in with welcome arms. I look forward each week to going and meeting with friends to worship the Savior Jesus Christ. The members' friendship has made us feel at home and we are so thankful for their love and support. To be able to come with my family and renew our baptismal covenants each week through the sacrament and feel of others' testimony and love helps us make it through the weeks which so often are filled with stress and turmoil. It is a haven that nourishes our courage. I am so thankful for the Priesthood of God that is found in this church. Heavenly Father's authority is really here on the earth and there really is a church that he authorizes and stands at the head of that contains all the ordinances necessary to return to his presence and live forever with my family whom I love so much.

This Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holds the most wonderful people I have met. From a very rural and large geographic area, these saints travel far to share their testimonies of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of our Father in Heaven. A small but powerful christian congregation.

The branch (congregation) covers a large geographic area. It takes several hours to drive from one edge to the other. The members are scattered in many small towns in Iowa. In spite of this, they share a powerful concern for one another. Never have I been cared for so readily or so quickly as I was while attending this branch. I small but powerful branch.

Love, love, love this church building. It used to be a home, but has been converted into a church building. That means that the building has character. It was probably built in the seventies and still maintains many of original features. One bathroom is decorated in powder blue: blue bathtub, blue sinks, blue toilet. The bathroom ajoining the Relief Society room has lovely flowers painted in the sink. From the vintage light fixtures to the pull handles on the kitchen cabinets everything from this house/chapel says "dated." The members LOVE this building. There are fireplaces in the chapel and the young women's room.
